+ About Lewis Williams

Lewis appreciates complexity; bringing his nuanced experience to traditional as well as alternative asset structures.

Having spent the last 20 years in Jersey's finance industry, Lewis has a broad range of experience helping high and ultra high net worth individuals and families administer their complex financial affairs.  Lewis qualified as a Chartered accountant in early 2007 and moved from general practice at BDO to Schroders where he was a fund accountant for some of their largest offshore property funds including retail warehousing, offices, residential and commercial properties.

Following the property market crash in 2008, Lewis left Schroders in 2009 to focus on the private client and private wealth sector.

In the intervening period before joining Bond Trust, Lewis progressed his career through a range of roles with listed and family owned international trust companies. This culminated with principal person roles on the boards of regulated entities for these service providers and working with some of the world’s wealthiest families, their trusted advisers and family offices.

At a push Lewis may admit that his favourite asset class is real estate but he has had a significant amount of experience administering traditional asset classes such as quoted investments and unquoted family businesses.  He also has experience of a number of alternative asset classes including structures holding art, cars, wine, watches and yachts, so is able to offer invaluable assistance to Bond Trust’s client base.

+ Qualifications

Lewis is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He arrived in Jersey in 2003 after having obtained a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Sheffield and working in Sheffield’s steel industry.

What our clients say.

A self-confessed foodie, Lewis also enjoys wine and wine tasting.  He currently holds a Level 2 qualification from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and aims to practice his skills whenever the opportunity arises!

Sports have always formed an integral part of his life with his formative years playing Rugby and Cricket. More recently he has found an active interest in Tennis and can very occasionally be spotted playing very mediocre golf.
