Michael Goulborn qualified as a Solicitor (England and Wales) in 1992 (now non-practising), and was called to the Jersey Bar as an Advocate in 2004. He is also qualified as a Notary Public. He worked with major firms in the City of London before moving to Jersey in 1999. In a previous life Michael was a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force before leaving to read law at Cambridge University.

Michael has extensive experience in many aspects of trust work, both contentious and non-contentious. He has been appointed by the Royal Court of Jersey on several occasions to represent the interests of minor and unascertained beneficiaries in matters before the Court, and has also appeared on numerous applications concerning the administration of trusts generally. Michael is currently acting for beneficiaries in what has become the longest-running civil trial in Jersey, involving multi-million dollar claims for breaches of trust.

Michael has been a Director of Bond Trust since 2007 and is one of the litigation partners of law firm Bois Bois.
